Planned service · Psychiatry
Psychiatric care that starts with understanding the concern.
Planned service. Appointments are not yet open.
Worcester Men’s Health is developing adult psychiatric evaluation and medication-management services for Worcester and Central Massachusetts. Planned psychiatric care is for adults of all genders, with a particular focus on men’s mental health. Appointments are not yet available.
Planned areas of care
Adult ADHD assessment. An evaluation of attention, organization and related concerns, with discussion of what the findings mean and appropriate next steps.
Anxiety and depression. Assessment of the symptoms affecting daily life and discussion of suitable care options.
Insomnia and sleep-related concerns. Sleep difficulties may be discussed and evaluated as part of a planned adult psychiatric assessment. Some sleep concerns need further medical evaluation or referral to another clinician. This is not a sleep medicine service.
Ongoing medication management. Follow-up for patients whose needs can be safely managed within the practice’s verified scope and available capacity.
What the evaluation is intended to accomplish
The planned evaluation will review your concerns, history, current medications and treatment goals. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about recommendations, alternatives and the reasons for further assessment or referral.
A diagnosis or prescription is not guaranteed. The initial visit may identify a need for records, additional appointments or another care setting before a treatment decision can be made.
How visits are planned
Psychiatric visits are planned to take place primarily by telehealth. Visit formats and requirements will be confirmed before booking opens.
Fees for appointments, without a psychiatric subscription
Psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits will be priced separately. A TRT membership will not be required, and psychiatric appointments will not be included in that membership.
Final psychiatric fees, visit lengths and any outside costs will be published before booking opens. Medication, testing and outside therapy arrangements must be reviewed separately; do not assume they are included in a visit fee.
Care between appointments
Before treatment begins, the practice will provide instructions for routine questions, medication requests, follow-up and urgent concerns. Routine messaging will have defined monitored hours. It will not provide continuous clinical coverage or replace an appointment when an assessment is needed.
Choosing the right setting
The practice is being developed for scheduled outpatient care. Some needs require a different service or a higher level of support. A scheduling request does not establish that this practice is suitable for your situation.
If you are in immediate danger or have a life-threatening emergency, call 911. For suicidal thoughts or emotional crisis in the United States, call or text 988. Do not wait for a website or routine portal reply.
